There always is a specific time of happiness. But once you
start enjoying and living into it, suddenly u feel everything slipping off your hand like
sand and you feel as if left alone in a void. Akin to this when you are in
love, a single decision can either take you to a divine experience or leave you
in the middle of the deserted island. It has the power to make you smile or let
you cry for the whole of your life.
Had Vinita but known these things then she would not have
taken such crucial decisions so fast…
Vinita was bought up in a well-off family, her Father being
a businessman always made sure that Vinita gets whatever she wanted. And being
the only daughter was her biggest advantage. Despite of this she had always
been an acceptable student. It was not
even a month for Vinita to pass 12th and enter into a reputed
college for doing her engineering, that even in the college she was admired by
nearly all her professors. She was an eye candy to them, always cheerful and
happy with her own self. She also made hell lot of friends, in no time, to
gossip and enjoy with…!!! In short, her life was going perfectly smooth and
joyous.
But suddenly, as if God couldn't tolerate her happiness,
everything for her went Topsy-Turvy , she got completely broken by the news of her
parents death, in a car accident, while they were coming to visit her…
Now all was left in the family was Vinita, no uncles, aunts
or siblings existed to console her and give her strength. Within a moment, the
all time “smiling Vini” got converted into “Weeping Vinita” and moreover she
couldn’t help herself this time. She desperately needed a consoling hand and a
shoulder to cry upon, though she had so many friends but she still she felt
alone and abandoned. She desperately needed more time with her parents, wanted
to share her college experiences, wanted to make them proud, wanted to learn
more from them…
Today she heartily
echoed for that fatherly scold, on doing something wrong…really craved for
a motherly touch to make her feel secure and happy...But the time was gone, “They”
were gone, and she could do nothing about it…They will not come back to her,
howsoever she shed her tears, it hardly mattered now…She was left alone and
sooner or later she had to accept this…
After a month from
this tragedy, she decided to go back to her college, but this time an altered
“Orphan” Vinita took her place. She became as quite as a mouse, not uttering a
single word, not smiling, even an inch. Her Friends, professors even her
classmates, who never bothered to talk to her, tried consoling her, trying to
get her back, but “that” Vinita has already died a month ago, along with her
parents body…She existed physically but her soul was cremated with her
parents…It felt as if she has lost all the desires to live and laugh…Not
wanting to move forward a single step in her life…
Days merged to form weeks, weeks converted to months and
these months passed as a semester; Semesters thereon formed a year, which
finally ended. Everyone wished and hoped that this new year i.e. the second
year would bring happiness in Vinita’s life...
